A University email address is separate from the local email address. Faculty and staff get their local email addresses through their departments. Once the department payroll coordinator enters the local email address into the HRMS system, a university email address (@wustl.edu) is created. This address may be changed only once and the choice must be made from a standardized list of names provided by the university.
If you would like to find our what your university email address is, search our online directory. If the directory does not show an "@wustl.edu" address for you, please have your Payroll coordinator enter the correct information into HRMS using these directions.

- If your university email address is no longer working, check with your payroll coordinator to make sure your information is correct in HRMS.
- If it is, then the problem may be with your local email address. Please contact your help desk for assistance with your local email address.
- If your help desk determines that the problem isn't your local email address, then email university-email-concerns@wustl.edu.
If you would like to change your university email address, please follow these directions. Changes will take effect in 24 hours.
Your local email address will appear in HRMS, WebSTAC and WebFAC. Your University email address will appear in the Web-based directory and the TERNION.
