University Email Address (@wustl)
Announcement 2004/05/05

Commencement 2004 is coming and the Alumni Association wants you to know that this important day is not your "grand finale" at Washington U - in fact, it's just the beginning!

Though much will change in the near future, one of the most important connections you've had at Washington University will continue - your @wustl email! By retaining your @wustl email address, your classmates can keep in touch since your email address will always be the same (even if you change jobs or internet service providers). Following your graduation, your @wustl address will become a forwarding address. Keep in mind that it will not be an email account and internet access is not provided post-graduation, so you'll need to have your own ISP (such as AOL, MSN, etc.) to which email sent to you at @wustl can be forwarded. You will have approximately 3 months - until August 31, 2004 - during which your existing WU mailbox will remain active. After that, you'll have to advise the University of the new email address to which you'd like us to forward your @wustl email. We'll remind you of this deadline as it approaches, and provide you with all the details.

If you already know your post-graduation address to which you'd like your @wustl emails forwarded, head to

We encourage you also to take a moment to visit our new graduates' site -

- to read more about the many other services provided for Washington University alumni. From career networking to alumni gatherings, continuing education opportunities, publications, and more, these programs have been created for you - and all are available without alumni dues.

You're a part of Washington University forever. Congratulations!! And remember - Washington University is always here for you!
